
The client's business unit was in the process of receiving large amounts of data that needed to be captured and stored in a way that allowed users to retrieve the data quickly and efficiently. This included all types of data (engineering, geological and petrophysical) with access required by all members of the team. Following a consultation exercise with each team member, an existing workflow document was produced, highlighting the inefficiencies in the system. Examples included instances where digital data was not captured in a database, and where hardcopy data was not indexed and stored correctly. Solutions for each of the major troublespots were produced, agreed and implemented, resulting in the efficient capture of all hardcopy and digital data. 14873An overhaul of digital and hardcopy data reception was performed, identifying problem areas and weaknesses in the existing processes, and implementing solutions to overcome the various troublespots
