Engineering Integrity Data Review

Background

A major oil and gas operator in the North Sea asked Venture to conduct a wide-ranging review of their management and control of Engineering Integrity Data and Documentation.
The results would establish a baseline for a long-term exercise in developing compliance with their Operations Governance scheme in the areas of engineering projects and modifications and ongoing maintenance activities.

Approach

Our client was at the initial stage of a long-term exercise to develop its performance in Health, Safety, Operations and Engineering Integrity. Venture were engaged to:

• Establish the client's conformance of Information Management and Document Control against the new standards set within their Operations Governance scheme
• Assess their readiness for the introduction of a new Work Management system
• Identify opportunities to extend the scope of a newly-developed engineering information collaboration system.

After a large number of interviews, analyses and discussions with participants representing a diverse range of functions and interests, a comprehensive Final Report was presented detailing recommendations.
