Operations & Production

Few business environments face the diversity of complex, concurrent influences experienced in upstream petroleum operations. In addition to the inherent challenges of maintaining facilities uptime to meet production targets, factors varying from bad weather to third-party pipeline availability can all have sudden and significant impacts. Domain Operations.jpg

The operational phase of an asset's life demands co-operation between many disciplines and teams each responsible for specialised aspects of the overall operation. Venture recognises that many operators remain frustrated by the limited integration as yet achieved between historically discrete facets of upstream petroleum asset management.

Decisions often have to be made in the absence of relevant information that cannot be provided in time. Risks can be particularly acute where a rapid response is required to an unexpected problem or uncontrollable third-party event.

Venture's experience with upstream clients helps us to understand the business processes, information requirements and work involved in the component areas of:

  • Field Operations (both technical and commercial aspects of managing surface facilities and the reservoir for the best long-term outcome)
  • Production Operations (delivering products to planned quantities and qualities)
  • Facilities Maintenance (ensuring adequate surface facilities capacity).
