We are seeking a Well Data Manager. Working on client site for Venture, this role is to work within a team undertaking a Log Data Improvement Project. The Log Data Improvement (LDI) project requires data gathering of all Petrophysical log data available in various repositories and loaded to corporate databases after being quality checked. The clients Recall application being populated with a raw verified set of curves being the main project goal.
Responsibilities and Duties
Identify all logs run in well using End of Well Reports, Completion logs, JPL Register, Off-site Storage Catalogue, CDA data store, LiveLink and Recall.
Collect the digital log data (tape), corresponding log images and required end of well reports. Build a logging summary sheet (inventory) and assign correct images to tapes ensuring they are from the correct borehole
Identify missing digital data and place order for retrieving the tapes from off-site store or from partners. Read the tape data and load to CDA and Recall.
Identify missing log images / poor quality images and place order for retrieving films / prints from off-site storage or from partners and arrange for re-scanning.
Any missing data identified during verification and processing steps should be sourced.
For tapes and prints, if required, update the CDA index for few selected attributes (Title, JPL reference number etc.) for COMPANY operated wells.
Load high value curves into the Recall corporate database ensuring they verify with the corresponding log image.
Load pressure logs (RFT / MDT etc.) to Recall and Siesta (client’s internal software).
Person/Experience Required
Experience of petrophysical/well data management with exposure to subsurface data types
Experienced in the use of subsurface applications and databases, Recall is essential.
