Responsibilities and Duties

  • Technical applications and database support to a global well engineering community
  • User Support and Training to maximise benefit from investment in technical applications and databases
  • Identification of potential improvements and structured recommendations for changes
  • Participation in change projects to improve use of existing systems and implement additions/replacements when appropriate
  • Design, improvement and support of workflows, data management processes and standards
  • Keeping up to date with developments in field of expertise

 

Person/Experience Required

  • Takes genuine pride in work

  • Strong team player
  • Clear communicator
  • Prepared to work flexibly on occasions where a team in another time zone is involved
  • Prepared to travel to operational sites occasionally, when necessary

 

Key Skills Required

  • Experience of well engineering systems including Peloton (esp Wellview), Landmark's suite, iWIT
  • Experienced of formal incident recording, escalation, coordination with other parties, reporting, etc in a measured service environment
  • Able to take ownership of problems that might involve cooperation with other service providers
  • Good understanding of IT service components (networks, applications, databases, infrastructure)
