At our client’s request the work was undertaken as a priority, with a project team quickly set up to provide the resources required. The bulk archive boxed data were reviewed at the offsite storage facility, with ongoing retention or destruction decisions made in direct liaison with the client. A robust QA process ensured that all items retained were indexed to the record level.
The review and rationalisation of c. 4,000 "bulk" archive boxes led to cost savings through the destruction of more than half of the data, and the capture of over 30,000 valuable technical records – which were otherwise lost – onto an index fully compliant to the client's data standards.
