Venture will be hosting a one-day workshop entitled ‘Recognising, measuring and achieving value from data management' as part of an industry conference Knowledge and Information Management for Oil and Gas to be held in Aberdeen on July 1st - 2nd 2009.
Despite good information management being seen as providing competitive advantage to companies across many industries, many companies in the oil and gas industry have problems demonstrating the value of managing data and information properly. As a result they get caught in the cyclical trap of data cleanup and then data degradation.
The workshop will develop a comprehensive data management framework which will help to ensure that this cycle is broken. It will address:
